Inspired by many years spending time in Fitzrovia, rediscovering new places and spaces in this part of London that keeps changing slowly, with nuance, always leaving a little trace of what has been there before. I always had a feeling of being taken for a journey, pulled into spaces, rather than navigating my own way, in this constant living, wonderful place of day and night.
This painting is part of a nighttime duo, exploring life in the quiet streets of Fitzrovia late at night, dotted with some late night activity and the almost invisible historic garden squares.
